The rad dudes at our digital ageny IYBI who were responsible for the Happy man back in 2010 and his version 2.0 revision in 2013 have just launched a branding case study on Happy and the work they did with us over the course of the last three years. Its plays like an evolution time line and confirms for us we’ve made some great decisions along the way. We’re glad to be working with these guys again!
The next Happy Campfire session is a secret.

WE DO HOWEVER EXPECT THAT THE DETAILS OF THE NEXT HAPPY WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE LEAKED VIA OUR MEDIA CHANNELS CLOSER TO THE DATE. TO BECOME A SPONSOR PLEASE CONTACT US.

Happy was started in 2010 by a small group of music lovers from Sydney in response to another local venue closure. What began as a simple Sunday afternoon show soon turned into a whole summer of gigs and a few hundred bookings. By 2011 Happy was a Sydney inner-west institution which over 3000 people had attended and had been host to over 60 shows. Rather than repeat history, Happy took a break in 2012 to develop its online presence in the form of the hhhhappy.com, an online music blog which now boasts over 10,000 email subscribers.
Our vision for Happy is a world class festival event that embraces artistic and cultural diversity, has cross generational appeal and successfully introduces lovers of one art form to several others by engaging existing communities and ultimately creating a new one; whilst maintaining an impeccable standard of quality and sustainability we want to make a significant impact on Sydney’s and ultimately Australia’s growing artistic credibility at an international level.
Happy has relaunched in 2013 with the same energy and passion as the first sessions only this time with a much bigger infrastructure, a full team to back the shows and a commitment to fulfil our mission statement. The new incarnation will take shape as the Happy Campfire Sessions: secret, acoustic shows played by well known headline acts with support from local bands. The shows are free and are intended to be stumbled upon by fans and punters alike and will only be made possible by the generous support of local businesses and franchises that want to contribute to the arts and music community.
Industrie Media is a market leader in innovative commercial video design and production who found their niche early. Happy approached them last month about a possible partnership and we’re delighted to announce that their forward thinking director Attila Kovacs has embraced the idea of ‘keeping his team’s creative juices flowing’. We’re glad because IM have said they will fully support the production of our first season of artist interviews and live videos.
Happy is pleased to announce the engagment of Sydney based creative studio If You Build It as the official design and development team for Happy branding, design and web. Working with a local team who are active members of the community was essential for us and their passion for the arts, music and our vision was something we’ve been aware of from the beginning. It doesn’t hurt that we share the same office either!
THIS IS WHAT IYBI HAD TO SAY
“We’re delighted to be working with Happy on their latest incarnation. We were lucky enough to work on their 2010 and 2011 campaigns as well as the design and development of their hhhhappy.com blog which has become a source of great music news for us. They’re a passionate and delightful team and we feel honored to be working with them again. Upwards to the vanguard!”
